Ice Cream Alley in McCall

Ice cream is always great on a hot summer's day. "Mountain sized scoops" is taken very seriously here! They're also social-distancing very well for summer of 2020.

The go-to spot for ice cream in McCall is at Ice Cream Alley. Lots of choices and if you don't get there early enough in the day, you may not get Huckleberry. Lines get long, so be prepared to wait, or time your ice cream fix at the right time of day.

Great ice cream, sorbet, floats, banana splits. When we went, due to construction we had to park a block away. Very generous servings of 27 flavors of delicious ice cream. Enjoy the Beatles music constantly playing. Some wood benches and tables to sit at.

I got there at the right time, had very few people in line and they had my Blue Bubble Gum Ice Cream that is to die for. I love Ice Cream Alley.

This is one of the fun destinations in McCall. Many fun and delicious flavors. Worth the time and effort to get there.

This is a really fun little place to visit. It isn't on the front if the street it is accessed through the back alley. Later in the day is a better time to visit.

Must stop by for ice cream while visiting McCall. Line gets long but they move you through pretty fast.

Our first time and it was a HIT!! Huge scoops and delish!

Quaint little ice cream shop. Outdoor seating only. The longest time is spent waiting for the customers ahead of you to choose what they want. The staff is quick - once you place your order they have it ready in moments. If you're into it, they play Beatles and Beach Boys era music over their stereo. The alley way you enter in from main street is not wheel chair / handicap accessible - you'll have to go around the back which looked like it had plenty of parking.

We love this place. Ice cream is great, serving sizes are huge... My favorite is Huckleberry.

This place always amazes me! It makes for a fun place to stop when visiting McCall. I love their location! Have definitely made some memories here. Worth a try.

This place was awesome! The scoops really are humongous and tasted so good. I'm a strong ice cream eater and one scoop was enough for me - that's saying something! Don't let the long line scare you, it moves fairly quickly and is so with the wait. I think this place is a must for anyone visiting McCall!

The Cash or Check Only Ice cream Shop. Walk around the smelly back alley of McCall looking for entrance. Turn around and buy Ice cream at Albertsons.

Always a great treat, we have never had a bad experience. However, I just wanted to pop on and commend them for the wonderful job they are doing in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The line was socially distanced, the ordering and pickup was hygienic and the girls were doing a great job keeping themselves and their customers safe. Great jod and amazing ice cream!!

A treasure of McCall. Scratch that, all of Idaho. I'm a man that enjoys a good ice cream more than just about anything and I've tried a fair amount of ice cream. This place is one of the best ice cream shops *anywhere*. Variety: 5/5 - lots of traditional and interesting flavors to choose from. Customer service: 5/5 - the line can get a bit long at certain times due to the popularity of this spot but the cashiers whisk people through quite fast. Price/amount ratio: 6/5 - holy cow I love how much ice cream they give you for a reasonable price.WARNING - the last time I got ice cream here, the shear amount nearly caused my girlfriend to go into permanent ice cream coma. Luckily, I was able to save her by finishing her cone off which also put me into ice cream coma.Also, note that they only take cash.

On this hot summer day with a very long line it took us only 10 minutes to get our gigantic ice cream cones! It was around $7 for two scoops and a waffle cone, both scoops amount to a whole pint! Their flavors are vast and delicious. Overall would say even better than Cold Stone Creamery because of both price, quantity, AND quality :)

On my must do list every time I’m in MCCALL. You will need cash or a check. The lines can be long due to popularity but it is so worth it. The single scoop is comparable to 3 scoops at other ice cream shops. The huckleberry cheesecake was delicious.

The best ice cream ever! Some people say ice cream is ice cream, right... but not here in McCall! This is the best place to get ice cream. If we are even close to McCall we will drive up to get ice cream here. It's just that good, and the portions are awesome! One scoop is plenty for me, and I love ice cream! Just remember it's cash only!

The place was packed at 2pm on a very warm day. You placed your order at one window then moved to the next for p/up. There were so many ahead of me I waited around 30 min. for my order. It was worth the wait. The flavor I chose was huckleberry cheese cake. I ordered one scoop in a waffle cone. The size of that scoop was huge. Equal to at least 4 scoops at a Baskin-Robbins. Highly recommended

So, we visit ice cream alley every summer. My kid's were so upset about cash or check only most people don't carry cash let alone a check. It's my son's 16th birthday and he just wanted ice cream. All four of my kid's were crushed.. I understand that we have some codes at the moment. But there is no cash or check sign on the fences. So, surprised once you can see and read the sign. Well, we waited in line for 45 minutes. Just to have to turn around. Next time please have signs outside on the fences so nobody has to wait and then be disappointed. Thank you.

AMAZING! super secret back alley entrance to a cute little pop up handmade ice cream shop. The second we saw they had affogatos (espresso poured on top of your favorite flavored ice cream - espresso explosion, duh) we were sold. The single scoop here equals 3 ginormous scoops in real life, LOL. The double scoop is a pint of ice cream. LOVE! and the young staff was very friendly :-).

Best huckleberry I have ever had and I travel to Montana often. Huge scoops. I almost got two but was informed it would be a pint! Ice cream and sorbet for two kids and four adults $19. Really, really good! Also great toppings and sundaes.

Loved the Ice Cream here. Went with some friends on a Saturday evening. Huge lines. Took us about an hour to get our Ice Cream. We expected it though being in the tourist town. Definitely was worth the wait. Our baby loved the bit he had as well!

Homemade tasting ice cream, generous scoops, low prices, and super friendly staff. A 'must stop' going through McCall on a warm day.

The servings are HUGE! I recommend the kid scoop or a single scoop as shown in my picture , they will let you choose 2 different flavors to make the “1 scoop” If you’re just visiting Idaho, Huckleberry is a must!
